HOW TO MAKE A BIKE FROM A BIKE OUR HANDS

For the manufacture of a cycle mobile one bike will not be enough, since a cycle mobile must have 3 wheels or more. In the manufacture of a cycle car, special attention should be paid to the frame. It should have the same properties as a bicycle. The frame is made of strong but light metal in order to achieve a reduction in the total weight of the vehicle. This will greatly facilitate the process of driving with muscular strength. At the same time, a lightweight and durable frame will add speed capabilities to your bike.

Installation of parts in the process of self-production of a cycle car is carried out in several stages, namely:
To start, we mount the frame. It consists of two longitudinally connected spars of 25 mm steel pipes, which usually reach no more than 120 centimeters in length.
At the front end, in which the side members are in contact with each other, the carriage should be welded. It can be borrowed from any bike. This will create the necessary pedal drive.
Then you need to attach a transverse steel beam (at the bottom of the side members in 42 centimeters from the carriage axis). This beam is called a traverse. It is 64 cm long and 2.8 cm in diameter. At its end are mounted pivot bushings made of 18 mm pipes. Where the beam is connected to the side members, a slight bend is formed.
Between the side members, 40 centimeters from the axis, a special spacer is welded, which has an eye. A wing is mounted on it.
The steering column (length – 33 cm, diameter – 2.8 cm), the stability, which will provide two so-called curly scarves, is welded in front of the beam.
It is worth noting that the chassis, the wheel suspension and the steering column mounted on the cycle car are fairly straightforward mechanisms that are quite easy to attach, while they are extremely unpretentious in future maintenance. And the transmission practically does not differ from the drive of a standard road bike, although its chain is somewhat longer due to the technical features of a do-it-yourself vehicle.
In this three-wheeled cycle mobile, two front wheels perform the steering function, while the rear is the driving one. Take care that the rims and tires are strong and free from visible defects. The seats are mounted alternately with the preservation of the gap, allowing two people to freely sit on the bike without crowding and discomfort. The brackets are fastened to the side members with brackets, which makes it possible to further move the seats to the desired distance from the pedals.
You can take care of the softness of the seats. Just glue the quality-cut foam rubber to the plastic base, and then sew it on top with a strong fabric. At the very end, a gearbox is installed, which drives the cycle car, which significantly saves the driver.
CAN YOU RIDE A VEHICLE ON ROADS

Definitely yes! It is only necessary to comply with all traffic rules, adhere to the far right lane, while carefully monitoring the flow. The width of the cycle mobile or transported cargo should not exceed 1 meter. Speed should be between 25-30 km / h. There are also several other nuances associated with retroreflectors, indicating corners, etc. (Everything is described in the rules of the road).
